The most valuable thing in the home and any business premises is the people and then the valuables (artifacts, jewellery, electronic equipment, products etc) that need to be kept safe and secure whilst in any building. The construction goes someway to looking after any items, but then some aspects of security whether physical or electronic is required. A lot of today’s electronic technology can aid and assist people and things being looked after, but sometimes they do not work as effectively as they should. If you're in need of this service, check out our home and personal security page

There is also a case that modern electronic security installations may have been oversold as to their practicalities and uses. In large establishments/businesses there may require Security Personnel to be present and working to keep people safe whilst in and around the vicinity of the premises. Knowing that people are being kept safe within premises is a requirement under Health & Safety legislation and it is only after a crime, suspected crime or serious incident that any aspect of security is actually looked at properly.

A security survey conducted by experienced security consultants is an independent review with a fresh pair of eyes that can identify quickly if any aspect of Home or Business Security is lacking or could be enhanced, most times at very little cost and can give great peace of mind to the occupants of any building.

Process in Conducting an Independent Security Survey.

Surelock Security Consultants can attend the home/building/premises usually for a day or so on site (larger organisations/businesses will usually take a few days on site) where all physical aspects, security installations, entry & exit points, location of people/staff and valuable items etc will be clearly identified and the present systems that are protecting the premises.

It is known that any weaknesses can be taken advantage of by criminals or offenders that could have serious implications to the safety of people living in residential premises or people working for companies/organisations in business premises as well as interrupting the working practices of the business, company or organisation.

Photographs of certain areas, security aspects and concerns will be taken and used in the completion of a comprehensive report at the conclusion.

Detailed Obtained Information, Facts and Other Aspects Will Be Identified in the Security Survey Report.

At the present time most advice about identifying, improving or enhancing security is given verbally, even the UK Police or Counter Terrorism Security Advisors (CTSA) do not provide written reports of security of premises. Police Crime Prevention Officers (CPO's) used to pride themselves in being able to advise people and businesses in writing, but this service no longer exists. The UK Police now only have a few Designing Out Crime Officers (DOCO) across the 43 Police Services who advise planners, architects and the local authorities on how to build secure environments.
