Corporate surveillance refers to the practice of businesses legitimately monitoring and collecting intelligence about their employees, customers, and sometimes even competitors, to gather information that can be used to enhance profitability, improve operations, or make informed business decisions, which can raise privacy concerns depending on the methods used. This type of surveillance can be physical or electronic, using covert cameras and recording devices.

Is surveillance legal.

As with all our surveillance services it is particularly important for this type of surveillance to be conducted in accordance with RIPA  although as a private company this is not actually necessary, it is best practice.

What is the purpose of this surveillance.

Instructing clients contact us with concerns about a business event, an employee, competitor or an infiltrator. It is essential that this is legal and in accordance with privacy laws and data protection - the Human Rights Act 1998, Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Surveillance is the monitoring of behaviour, movements, meetings, or information for the purpose of intelligence gathering, influencing, managing, or directing. All our surveillance is covertly video recorded and can be used in training after the event.

Specialist equipment.

Our teams use the most up-to-date equipment that can be covertly installed in a vehicle or body worn, so as not to identify them. This is particularly important when an operative is actually engaged in the workplace, alongside employees or when conducting a penetration test. Our engineer can also build covert recording and listening devices for installation in the workplace.

Corporate Surveillance.

These cases can save our instructing clients a great deal of money, protect their intellectual property and identify those willing to sell company secrets to competitors.

Recent cases have identified: -

Example A – infiltration in a hospital where the management had received information that cleaning staff were supplying drugs to medical staff.

Example B – close surveillance carried out on a business group from China, who had made appointments with our client’s competitors to sell inferior quality construction equipment, that infringed on our client’s design rights, after extensive and successful physical surveillance, with the introduction of a Surelock undercover operative a meeting was set up and the visitors were confronted and served legal documents.

Example C – surveillance was carried out on an employee, in their office using a covert camera and listening device, which identified wrongdoing.

Example D – surveillance carried out on a senior director, who was meeting with competitors, just prior to an acquisition.

There are many examples, all these successful operations have assisted our instructing clients to protect their business.

What evidence do we supply.

With all our surveillance operations, we supply a detailed log of events that show where the subject went and who they met, together with an edited copy of the recording, the original always available for any proceedings. With covert listening and recording devices these can be monitored live or examined after.

What are the costs.

We work strictly to an hourly rate, our costs are £60 per hour per operative, plus travel, mileage and necessary expenses.

What should I do next.

We are instructed by several corporate clients, providing a nationwide service. Our teams are very experienced in surveillance, our evidence, logs of event and reports clearly show all the movements, and expertly made and installed covert cameras and listening devices will provide the best possible evidence..

You will be in safe hands, so if you have a need for this professional service, please contact us.
