Did you know Diesel had a fake store?
In 2018 Diesel opened a counterfeit store with an exclusive range of high quality 'fakes'.
This was of course a brilliant marketing stunt but brought light to the fakes market. It lined up an authentic knock-off store called 'Deisel' on Canal Street, very far from Fifth Avenue or the other fashion landmarks, and right in the heart of New York City’s most famed fake-fashion destination.
What is Black Friday?
Friday 28th November is ‘BLACK FRIDAY’ the busiest online shopping day of the year worldwide, please be careful especially when shopping online.
If a deal looks too good to be true, then it probably is. If the price seems unrealistic or the seller is putting pressure on you to act immediately, then it’s likely a scam.
What is online brand protection?
Surelock has been offering an online brand protection service to its clients for more than ten years. We monitor online marketplaces and independent websites worldwide for counterfeits and other IP (intellectual property) infringements and our experience ensures that, when these are detected, they are reported and quickly removed. Constant vigilance is necessary as it is commonplace for infringers to jump from one platform to another to try to avoid detection.

Monthly Round Up:
It has been a very quiet month for our investigators and security consultants, with only one surveillance operation, it is usually quiet in the weeks before Christmas and people have been very concerned about the budget.
Our Brand Protection Team have been busy with enforcement actions with Camden Trading Standards raiding a prolific seller of music merchandise, with City of Westminster Trading Standards in Covent Garden raiding a seller of counterfeit clocks and Paddington merchandise. We also assisted Swansea Trading Standards with a prolific seller of jewelry on Facebook, which has resulted in enforcement action.
Our online team have been very busy taking down infringing merchandise from various selling platforms worldwide for our clients Paddington and Studio Canal.
Many covert reconnaissance’s have been made all over UK identifying counterfeit sellers, we have three major investigations pending enforcement action and also other raids planned in the weeks before Christmas.
We also attended the ACG Conference and London Expo on behalf of our clients, both truly excellent events this year and so good to meet with our peers from the industry and enforcement officers from wide and far.
We spent a day of action in Stables Market, Camden with the security team, seizing numerous counterfeits Paddington and music artists T-shirts.
